Hudson NY & the Rosery Flower Shop

A Blossoming History of the first US City and Hudson's Oldest Flower Shop

1785

The little city of Hudson has the distinction of being the first city in the United States—that is, it was the first city to be incorporated after the thirteen colonies became the United States.

2005

Jeanne Goldman stewards the next growth of floral design in Hudson as owner of both the Rosery & former Yankee Petaler.

1926

1926 After relocating from 426 Warren and moving into the former Barnard Florist at 550 Warren, the Rosery moves to it's present day location, 128 Green Street, Hudson, NY

1902

Gifford J Anderson was the founder of the Rosery opened his first flower shop in Mellenville NY

2021

Jenny Mojo purchases the Rosery with hopes to  continue the growing legacy of Hudson's longest serving flower shop.

1972-2005

Laraway Family operate the Rosery adding special seasonal window designs, a favorite with  locals.

1917-1993

Harold Anderson joined the business expanding to greenhouses prized for their chrysanthemums.
